Messages can consist of text and gestures.

Sending Messages 

1. Select your chat mode (for example, Room).

2. Optionally type your message on the text line of the selected chat mode.

3. Optionally press the Gesture button (to the left of the Send button) and press a gesture button on the Gestures Palette.

The selected gesture is displayed on the button, and the gesture icon is added to the Send button in the Chat Pane to indicate that you selected a gesture.

4. Press the Send button or press Enter on the keyboard to send the message and/or gesture.

Reading Messages in the Web Browser

You may read messages and see animated gestures in the avatar conversation bubbles in the room. The information is also displayed in the Chat Pane.

Reading Messages in the Chat Pane 

1. Select the tab in the Chat Mode Manager for the messages you wish to read.

2. Read your messages in the transcript (the top part of the window).

Note that gestures are displayed in the Chat Pane by the gesture name in parentheses, for example: (laugh), (OK), (Wow)

3. Optionally save the transcript by selecting Save as... from the shortcut menu on the Chat Transcript, and selecting a file name.
